About
my Production Plan and Gantt chart
The journey to creating an elaborate production plan and understandable Gantt chart is not as easy as it seems. It was rather challenging to think of
every single process and exactly how I was going to go about it by including
the materials, equipment, alternatives and safety concerns that are necessary.
However, I think that my plan is extremely realistic because anybody else could
go through it and know exactly what they need to do and when. There are plenty
of alternatives which give me a greater chance of possibly coming up with a
successful end product.
In addition, I feel that the safety concerns will come in handy when I am
dealing or handling items with a sharp or pointy edge; this proved to be very
useful the last time I created a storage unit, when I had no knowledge about
equipment in the Product Design Lab. However, it has come to my concern that I
will face a few challenges because a plan is never definite, it’s just a plan;
but the plan that I have built up, effectively addresses most of the challenges
that I might face by providing me with more time for both easy and difficult tasks.
Furthermore, many of the resources I will be using are available in
school e.g. leso, the mounting board, craft items, basic stationery, glue and
much more. The fact that these items are available in school gives my product a
greater chance at becoming as successful as can be. Finally, I would like to
mention that this plan may acquire some modifications but from the looks of it,
it seems like I will have a great experience in Create stage.
